This compression improves circulation by helping the veins move blood back up to the heart.  The use of JOBST® Anti-Embolism Stockings is an accepted prophylaxis for minimizing the risk of thromboembolism in hospitalized patients requiring bed rest or prolonged periods of immobilization. An opening on the top of the foot allows for an easy view of foot and toes.
